I am a National Certified Counselor and have been working in the field of mental health since 2004. It is my passion to connect with others and be a helpful companion and guide for them on their journey toward self-exploration and healing.
Counseling Philosophy and Techniques
My style of counseling is a collaborative one, focused on helping my clients to gain a sense of empowerment. I work from an adapted depth model with an emphasis on increasing insight and awareness as well as strengthening one's relationships and support system. Though looking into the past is important in order to discover more about who and where we are in our life, there is also a focus on one's experience in the present moment.
I utilize an array of experiential techniques in order to help one experience and process his or her situation in a new way. In addition to talk-therapy, I employ art therapy, nature therapy, role playing, creative writing, guided imagery, meditation, dream analysis, and Gestalt techniques.
Yes, and I long for one thing more: to learn how to listen to the delicate vibrations of my soul, to be incorruptibly true to myself and fair to others, to find in this way the right measure of my own worth.

Specialization
Though I work with a variety of populations and issues, my specialization is Reproductive Mental Wellness. Working in the mental health field, it became apparent to me that this is a neglected area in our culture. These issues are often overlooked or even seen as taboo to discuss. As a therapist, I realized the need for a deeper focus on reproductive and new parent struggles.

In addition to therapeutic services, I also offer educational presentations on issues such as perinatal mood disorders, pregnancy loss, teen pregnancy, and infertility.
